Last updated: 3 October 2026 · Applies to the Snowi iOS and Android apps and to snowi.site
These terms are an agreement between you and Safe4ai ("we", "us") about your use of Snowi. By installing or using the app, or by using snowi.site, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Snowi.
Snowi is a language-practice app: you talk with an animated companion, follow meanings and corrections, and revisit words in later conversations. The companion is powered by artificial intelligence. It is a practice partner, not a teacher, translator or professional advisor, and its answers can be wrong, incomplete or unexpected. Correction and progress information is guidance, not a certified assessment of your level.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area), or older where your country requires it, and you must use the app in line with the app store terms that apply to your device. If you use Snowi for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
Signing in is optional. If you sign in (Google today; Apple when available), keep access to your sign-in provider secure, and use one account per person. You can delete your account at any time — see account deletion. Deleting your account does not delete the learning records stored on your device; you can remove those separately in the app's settings.
Please do not:
We may suspend or end access if these rules are broken or if we must do so to protect the service or other people.
Paid features, when offered, are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores process the payment, apply their own terms, and handle refunds; we never receive your card details. Entitlements we record are those the store reports to us.
Snowi, its name, its bird mascot, its interface and its learning content belong to Safe4ai and are protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for your own learning. The app includes third-party open-source components that keep their own licences and copyright notices — you can read them in the app under Settings → Open-source notices.
We improve Snowi continuously, so features may change, be added or be removed, and the app may be unavailable from time to time (for example during updates or when a third-party service such as OpenAI is down). We may also discontinue the app; if we do, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
Snowi is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no promises that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular learning result. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
To the extent permitted by law, Safe4ai is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for lost data that you did not back up, for costs charged by third parties such as OpenAI, Apple or Google, or for reliance on an incorrect answer produced by the AI companion. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the event.
You may stop using Snowi at any time and delete the app, your learning data and your account. We may end this agreement if you materially breach it or if we discontinue the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Safe4ai is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the courts of that country. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The current version is always on this page with the date above; material changes will be announced in the app or by email where appropriate. Continuing to use Snowi after a change means you accept the updated terms.
